3. ARE YOU COUPLED UP WITH JESUS?
So often, as we go about living our individual lives, we may find that we have lost contact with Jesus.
I think of those modern train couplings which join carriages together, coupled together in a mutual vertical clasp. They form a tight grip not easily broken, at the same time giving strong stability to the train as a whole.
It is our relationship with Jesus that is so important, giving us strength and character in our daily walk. He gives us stability and enables us to persevere.
If you keep your relationship with Jesus active, He will enable you to live successfully each day.
Our relationship with Him must be close and strong in order for there to be any tangible result. Not just personally, but also for our daily relationships with others.
Why not try coming closer to Jesus, it can be an intimate relationship; a special union between you and Jesus Christ. In fact, the most important friendship you can ever have. Give it a try ,you won’t be disappointed!
I recently penned the following, trying to capture something of the potential which can result when two come together in a unity of friendship.

Two kindred spirits joined as one
They plumb the depths of harmony
To rise together in unity belong.

Their steps unite to walk a course
Uncharted waters they do belong
Yet still to be a walk together.

In union do these spirits yearn
Tears flow without relent
One understands when spirits like unite.

Mystery beckons the future be
Perhaps veiled in love it seems
Yet there is an answer soon to be.

Confirm your hearts true plea
All will be revealed for you to see
The flow of two hearts in unity.
