Pattern making is an essential part of production. Before production starts, the pattern maker creates a replica of the object to be made. In the clothing industry a pattern has to be made which can then be copied. In metal casting the pattern maker produces a replica This is used to make a cavity in sand into which molten metal is poured. Patterns ensure the object made is correct.

Something we can overlook from a Christian perspective is the fact that God is not only the creative designer but is also our heavenly pattern maker. A lot of life’s problems can be made so much easier if we use the pattern that God makes available.

When God told Moses to make a sanctuary or tent tabernacle it was important for it to be constructed according to the right pattern. Not built near enough or similar, but exactly according to the pattern which God said he would show to Moses. (Exodus 25:8-9).

How do we access God’s patterns? They are revealed by the Holy Spirit… He is a person who is able to reveal the thoughts, plans and intentions of our Heavenly Father. These patterns are available as we ask Jesus to reveal them to us.

God can supply the right pattern that will give us success!
