Does God have a crucible process? He surely does and it is an important part of the faith process in our lives as Christians.

The maturing or refining of our faith may not seem that important to us, but to God it is a priority… yes, more important than our own desires and dreams, more important than our life itself.

Our lives are all about us… our careers, our children, our marriage. The list goes on… our relationships, friendships, holidays, even our retirement. Then there’s our sporting and recreation activities.

In the midst of all these normal life activities, God is at work… changing us! God puts more value on our faith than gold, it is precious in His sight and it is being refined, (1 Peter 1:7).

A crucible is a heat-resistant container in which metals are melted at high temperatures above 500c. Impurities come to the surface which can then be skimmed off leaving the remaining molten metal in a more purified state

As we live life, God wants us to have these crucible experiences. They can be difficult and a challenge to our faith. But they are the times to keep praying… the grace of Christ will strengthen us!
