It is encouraging to reflect back on our Christian lives and think about the different ways God has blessed us. It is important to remember those special times when God met our needs. He wants us to know that we are always loved as His children.
The reason we are provided for and protected is that we belong to God in a blood covenant relationship. The price which bought our salvation is the precious blood of Christ. Our redemption is paid for in Christ’s shed blood… Satan’s control is cancelled!
Satan no longer has any legal claim on our lives… we are God’s possession in the most total sense. Not only are we released from death and given eternal life, but our lives are liberated from the curse. Prosperity and health are now our covenant rights.
Consider as a closing thought, the truth that the blood shed by Jesus justifies us. It is his blood taking the place of our blood, for our blood cannot save us because we have all sinned and fallen short of God’s glory. Jesus Christ is our substitute! ‘We all, like sheep, have gone stray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.’ (Isaiah 53:6. NIV.)
Let us rejoice in the fact that we have a wonderful inheritance… blessing upon blessing; for God has transferred us from darkness into light. We are bought; we now belong to Jesus who reigns.
